Sheamekah Williams, MSW is a nationally respected leader in behavioral health systems transformation, President and CEO of the Evolution Foundation, and serves as a Subject Matter Expert for NTTAC. Sheamekah has over 20 years of experience providing systems of care (SOC) work and is a nationally respected leader in behavioral health systems transformation. In this role, she leads efforts to strengthen community coalitions and expand resources that support children, youth, young adults, and families across Oklahoma. Through strategic partnerships, technical assistance, and innovative training initiatives, she works to advance trauma-informed systems and improve access to behavioral health services statewide. Prior to leading the Evolution Foundation, Williams served as Director of Children, Youth, and Family Services for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. During her tenure, she oversaw the statewide expansion of Oklahoma’s SOC, growing services from a 17-county initiative to a comprehensive statewide system serving individuals ages 0–25 across all 77 counties. Her leadership also supported the development of mobile crisis response services and strengthened collaboration among education, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems to improve outcomes for young people and families. Sheamekah serves as the Project Investigator on several CMHI grants for the State of Oklahoma. Her subject matter expertise includes: 1) Child and Family Serving Systems, 2) Cross-System and Interagency Design, 3) Financing, Policy, and Leadership, 4) Mobile Response & Stabilization Services, 5) Behavioral Health Disparities/Underserved Populations, 6) Rural and Frontier BH Service Design.
